We'd actually recommend sizing true to your normal fit rather than sizing up — the torso fabric is built to sit close to the body so the plate carrier doesn't bunch it, and the stretch zones handle the extra layering fine. If you're between sizes and plan to wear it under armor daily, go with the smaller size

It works both ways — plenty of our customers wear it as a regular technical shirt for training days or hot-weather outdoor work with no armor at all. The moisture-wicking torso and reinforced sleeves hold up either way, so you're not paying for features you can only use half the time

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and skip the dryer — air drying keeps the elbow pad foam and the ripstop/Cordura sleeves from breaking down over repeated washes. We'd also avoid fabric softener, since it clogs the moisture-wicking fibers over time

The Velcro is sewn on with reinforced stitching specifically because we expect people to change patches often — occasional lint buildup is normal, but a quick brush with a stiff comb restores the grip. It's built for regular swapping, not a one-time attachment

On its own, it's built for breathability and movement rather than insulation, so in genuinely cold conditions we'd suggest adding a thin base layer underneath — the shirt still handles the outer layer duty just fine over that. In moderate cold or under a plate carrier, most people find it's enough by itself
